About Kevin P. Fanning

Super Lawyers Rising Star 2023 and 2024

Fanning Law, LLC was created to advise commercial and industrial property owners in navigating the complexities of the Illinois property tax system.

At a time of nonstop local property tax increases and burdensome regulations,  Fanning Law was created in order to protect clients' rights and represent their best interests. Clients of the firm include corporations, small business owners, property managers, developers, REITs, and national franchises.

Before founding the firm Mr. Fanning practiced law at another property tax law firm in Chicago. Mr. Fanning began his career as a Policy Director in Cook County government while attending law school at night and on a scholarship. Later he became the Chief of Staff to the Cook County Finance Committee and its Chairman, John P. Daley.

Mr. Fanning is admitted to practice law in Illinois and has successfully adjudicated appeals before the Cook County Assessor, Cook County Board of Review, DuPage County Board of Review, Lake County Board of Review, Will County Board of Review, Illinois Property Tax Appeal Board, and Cook County Circuit.
